What the heck is acai, are your thinking right now, aren’t you?! How do you even say it? Well you pronounce it as “ah-sigh-ee”. That is the first step haha. Now what is it? It’s a berry that grows on the acai palm tree in Brazil. It’s called a ’super food’ thanks to al it’s benefits; antioxidants, amino acids and omega fats.
So now you know what it is, I can talk about this ‘recipe’. You can call it a smoothie, because it’s all fruit blend together. So it makes an easy recipe, but of course I pimped it a bit up. ‘Cause what’s a smoothie without toppings? Yes just a smoothie haha. Always go for the smoothie bowl!
- 1 Package frozen acai puree
- ¾ Banana
- 30 gr Frozen blueberries
- 75 gr Frozen raspberries
- 3 tbsp Soy yogurt
- 75-100 ml Cashew milk (or any other dairy free milk)
- ¼ Banana
- Soy yoghurt
- Fresh blueberries
- Homemade granola
- Put all of the ingredients in your blender and blend till it has a smooth consistency. You may need more or less milk, depends if you like your smoothie thick or thin. Thicker is always a bit better if you want to make a smoothie bowl.
- Now put in a swirl of soy yoghurt, top with banana, blueberries and some (homemade) granola. Here is a quick recipe for some homemade granola.
