For a while I drank one green smoothie a day; breakfast, lunch or as a snack. It was a pretty good way to get my greens in, even before dinner was served. But I got a bit tired of them, even though I always switched my recipes. I stopped for a while drinking them, but suddenly I was craving a green monster. So it was time to get started again.
This was my go to recipe for a green smoothie; easy, nutritious and delicious. Oh and of course quick to make. The pineapple and banana makes it sweet, the avocado makes it creamy and smooth. And of course the greens give it the beautiful green color and the necessary vitamins. And you can even make a smoothie bowl of it, if you’re fancy! (Like me :P)
- ½ (frozen) Banana
- ½ Avocado
- ½ Zucchini
- 75 gr Kale or Spinach
- 25 gr (frozen) Pineapple or Mango
- 50 ml Water
- 2 tbsp Soy yogurt
- Put everything in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Drink just like that or put in a bowl and top with fruit, granola and nuts.
