This maybe is gonna sound weird to you, but I didn’t liked oatmeal. WHAT?! Jup, I never really liked the texture of oats. I tried it, but I couldn’t get over it. And look at me now, posting an overnight oat recipe. Congrats to me! XD
Okay, back to normal. Nowadays I do really like oatmeal, with every topping you can think of. That’s the best of eating oatmeal; the toppings! But this time I swirled a bit op my topping in my oats and that’s even better. Especially when it’s berries, so glad the weather is getting better. And all the delicious berries are almost in season again. But don’t you worry, if they’re not in season in your country. I made this recipe with frozen ones, so you can make this all year long!
Ready? Here comes the recipe.
- 45 gr Oats
- 100 ml Almond milk
- 2 tbsp Soy yogurt
- ½ tbsp. Chia seeds
- 1 tsp Maple syrup
- 20 gr Frozen blueberries
- Fresh berries
- Mix oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds and maple syrup in a bowl
- Put the blueberries in a bowl and microwave on high for a minute
- Pour the hot blueberry sauce in your oatmeal and swirl
- Cover the bowl and put in the fridge overnight
Serve with fresh berries, granola and almonds the next morning! And swirl in some nut butter if you like it. (I do!)
